Overall, it was a good day for Lincoln-Way Central head baseball coach Mitch Nowicki.

In the afternoon of May 16, his team’s offense broke out for a 13-2 win over conference foe Bradley-Bourbonnais; even more importantly, he also welcomed his second daughter into the world that morning.

After his wife gave birth to a baby girl, Nowicki made it to the afternoon game just in time to watch his team explode for an eight-run second inning at home against the Boilermakers.
