This summer, the New Lenox Public Library’s Summer Learning Challenge is expanding the focus of typical summer reading programs to include experiential learning and more.

This is the first time the library rebranded its program from a complete reading focus to a reading and learning focus, according to Library Director Melissa Krooswyk.

The challenge, themed “Reading Takes you Everywhere,” began Monday, June 4, and ends July 28. It is open to both adults and children.
