The very cold weather we experienced in April gave way to well-above normal temperatures in May.

We had-days with temperatures below-normal in May, including a high temperature of 52 degrees May 11 and a high of 55 degrees as late as May 20. But the average temperature for the month of May ended up being 7 degrees above normal and ranked is the warmest May in more than 30 years. Nearly half of the days in May (14) recorded a high temperature of at least 80 degrees.
