With 150 of 150 precincts across Will and Cook Counties reported, Rick Laib is projected to win the Republican nomination for 11th U.S. Congressional District. 

As of press time, Laib received 6,363 votes (60 percent). His challenger, Krishna Bansal received 4,267 votes (40 percent) of the vote, according to the unofficial results from the Will County Clerk's Office and Cook County Clerk's Office.

“I’m feeling very comfortable and I’m very excited,” Laib said as of press time before voting numbers were official.
