Before this season the Lincoln-Way West boys volleyball team had never won a regional title.

This season the Warriors made it to state.

Once there they played in an all-time classic match. But unfortunately they came out on the wrong end of it, falling to Neuqua Valley 26-24, 23-25, 25-23 in a state quarterfinal match on Friday, June 1 at Hoffman Estates High School.
