The growing pains continue for the Providence boys basketball team.

The Celtics hosted Plainfield East in a local matchup of schools on the opposite sides of Joliet. Although both entered the game with the same record, it was the Bengals that left with the win. Behind a game-high 24 points from Jalyn Adams, they shot well and jumped out to a huge lead before coasting to a 59-38 win over Providence on Tuesday, Dec. 8 in New Lenox.
