The VFW Post 9545 post was filled with more than 350 women waiving numbered bidding paddles during an annual live auction that raises money to give back locally.

The Lincoln-Way Area Business Women Organization’s one and only annual fundraiser of the year, which occurred Dec. 5, raises money for scholarships to give to women for continuing their education.

“It only takes one night to raise the money needed for more than 10 scholarships,” Past LWABWO President Christine Hunt said. “This is the most effective way to raise money for this cause.”
