A Tinley Park native with a propensity for getting involved and giving to charitable causes made his latest contribution in March, donating peripheral blood stem cells through an organization called Be The Match.

Jack Barrett, a Providence alum and current sophomore at Marquette University, made the donation March 16. He described the painless, four-hour procedure as “basically a long blood draw.”
