After two long, intense years of hard work and hours of documentation, two Tinley Park High School teachers became Nationally Board Certified.

Physics teacher James Birrell, and chemistry teacher Lee Rucinski, a New Lenox resident and volleyball coach at Providence, earned their certification in December 2019, becoming a part of only 3 percent of the nation’s teachers who become certified, according to the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards website.
