Around the midway point of this season, Alex Helmin was moved to the middle of the Providence baseball lineup.

The varsity veteran, who's been a three-year starter in center field for the Celtics, seemed to be revived by the move. He had numerous key hits in the Providence postseason run, which went all the way to the title game of the Class 4A Lockport Sectional last week.
