New Lenox high schools combined nine state qualifiers at the Class 3A Joliet Central Sectional, which was held on Friday, Feb. 8 and Saturday, Feb. 9 in the historic Steel Gym. 

The State Finals will be held between Thursday, Feb. 14 and Saturday, Feb. 16 at the University of Illinois’ State Farm Center in Champaign.

For Providence, there were four state qualifiers. Led by freshman Ryan Boersma, who won the title at 220 pounds by a 2-1 decision over Damaris Stanley (39-6) from Joliet Central.
