Providence junior quarterback Jack Peterson admits he was a bit overwhelmed by the pressure when he replaced injured starter Kevin Conway in the second half of a 22-0 loss to St. Rita on Oct. 4.

With a week to prepare for his first start against DePaul Prep, Peterson felt much more comfortable.

“I took a lot more reps this week, I took pretty much all the reps because Kevin’s hurt,” he said. “So, it just got me prepared for this week and this game.
