It took nearly 75 minutes of triple-overtime hockey but when the ice spray finally settled on their state quarterfinal game, Providence Catholic owned a major upset win over Glenbrook North.

Providence’s Colin Ries scored on a Tom Davis feed to give Providence a 2-1 overtime win, and Ries had a quick explanation for how his Celtics beat a Spartans team that had outscored his side 14-2 in three regular season meetings this year.

“It’s all heart,” Ries said. “That’s all it is.”
