Michelle Kaczmarek, a 2018 Lincoln-Way Central graduate, has been playing hockey since she was 8 years old.
At the time, she was a figure skater. But after seeing the sport — her brother had joined a hockey team — she quickly wanted to trade in the jumps and outfits for a hockey stick and pads.
